ONR dilution ratio?

Can any Optimum No Rinse users clear up a bit of confusion about the dilution ratio, please?

On the bottle it says 2 capfulls are 1 oz which goes into 2 gallons of water.

But I've seen demos on the web where the user states 1 oz to 1 gallon?

And is that 1 US gallon (3.78 litres) or a UK gallon (4.54 litres)?

Cheers :)

I used 1oz to 1 US gallon last time, but this time used 3oz for 2 US gallons...for the wash solution and it worked just fine :thumb:

Use 6oz to 1 gallon (3.75L) for the QD spray, and I spray the QD 1 panel ahead of where I'm washing, as a pre-soak that lifts the dirt off the paint - or so they say ;)

it does use a fair bit of product, as I mixed up 2oz in 1.25L of QD in the pump sprayer and used about 1L in pre-spray, although i did soak everything pretty well ;)

+3oz in the wash bucket, makes 5oz of ONR in a wash. Did its job well though and I used a SP lambswool mitt this time and preferred it to the MFs I used last time.

Kept a 2BM method with GG in the rinse bucket and was glad i did as it went black pretty quick and I changed it half way through. Wash bucket stayed very clear though, so it was obviously working. ONR makes dirt stick to the mitt like sh1t to a blanket though, so you really need to rinse it REALLY well.

Good luck with it :thumb:
