Hi there.

I would really appreciate some advice about something that I have been mulling over for a while.

Last year I bought some s30+ amd some spider pads for my flex3401 and I am really pleased with the results. I work on Six family cars which are all in pretty good condition. If I need a little correction I find that Menzerna fg400 will do the job, followed by FS4000. I tend to use Lake Country Force Hybrid pads when working with Menzerna.

My question is this. I hardly hear about S30+ and if you google it , it is hard to find reviews. S40 however is all over the net and raved about.

I am wondering if I am missing a trick.

As stated. I am really pleased with the S30 finished on the Honey Neo spider as recommended by Scholl but true to our obsessive nature as detailers , I am wondering if the S40 will give me an even better finish.

Also it has less cut which might be kinder to the cars that are pretty good and just need an annual refresh. To be fair I am assuming S30 should be ok for this but less cut might be even better.

I am wondering with hindsight if I shouldn't have gone for S20 and S40 as a pairing.

Will S40 offer anything when following up s30 . More gloss for example. An extra level of protection before sealent/wax?

I have 3/4 of a litre of S30 left and just do family cars so I don't really want to abandon it. But if you tell me that S40 is much better, then on the shelf it go's.

Anyway. Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks guys for your advice. Pawlik for your initial advice and Sawel and Steampunk for adding more detail and depth (pun intended).
I know from previous forum posts thay Sawel and Stempunk have a lot of experience and are big advocates of Scholl, so your advice means a lot.
Thank you for taking the time. Most of our cars are light coloured so s30 was probably a good choice for me and funnily enough. I would describe the finish as 'crisp and bright'. Reason for my late reply (apologies) is that I have just been working on my daughters 63 plate slilver/black Mini Coupe. I am really pleased with the results using s30. My technique with the Flex 3401 has improved and I do get a better final finish with the s30 now and it is hard to think that it could be improved upon. The car is in really good condition and now most of the panels look brand new. Much better than when we bought the car a year ago.
Initially I was thinking S40 for the Porsche (in pic) when darkening was mentioned but it is Pearlescent and has some nice lighter flake so I am assuming as Steampunk suggested that S30 might still be best for that?
I am going to pick up a small bottle of s40 anyway and compare and contrast.

Thanks again guys. Its awesome to get advice from such experienced detailers.:thumb:
