Anyone got any ideas on how to clean years of ground-in dirt from silver coloured seatbelts? Tried APC and a nailbrush, didn't work.

Hi Rob what APC were you using and to what ratio?

My method for belts has always been a light pre spray with G101 at around the 10:1 ratio then spray and suck with the George and bio brisk using hot water, britemax grime out performs well also for spot cleaning/pre spray.

Sorry guys but suggesting pulling the belts out shutting door and jet washing them is crazy imo :wall:

Yeah I would not jam the belts in the door and pressure wash them!

I purchased a ÂŁ30 steam cleaner, put Autobrite APC in the detergent tank, set the mix ratio to max and got to work on the belts. Worked a treat! Steamed them, then agitated the belts with a soft nail brush, wiped clean with a microfibre cloth, then steamed again with no APC mix, just steam and wiped again with a clean microfibre - belts looks great now! Advantage of the steam cleaner is I can do the rear belts on a 3-door car.
