Had the wheels off the car foday to bleed the brakes so thoughtit was a good time to use some of these products.

First up detailed online iron remover which was then followed by autoglym magma to see if anything was still left. As you can see from the photos the magma still reacted after the detailed online so iron was left behind for the AG to deal with.

Next wheel, tried it the other way round, magma first, same thing, it didnt clear it all as the detailed online reacted with the second hit.

So fairly even with regards to performance, the trigger head on the detailed online is better to work with though, the agma maybe reacted slightly quicker but outcome was even.

Next onto 2 acid based wheel cleaners
Autoglym clean wheels
Carplan wheel cleaner

First picture is result from autoglym second from carplan.
The carplan didnt really touch the tough grime, the autoglym made fairly short work of it, a clear winner here

Now onto detailed onlines new pulse acid free wheel cleaner with fallout remover, and autoglanze acid free wheel cleaner

First pics show the the pulse in action, i do like the colour so i can see all the areas ive covered the bleeding effect was not as apparent here, after rinsing it has done a ok job of cleaning, but the wheel would need further hits
Moving on the autoglanz, it was ok but i feel lacked some of the cleaning power of the pulse.

Finally autoglanze bleeding wheel cleaner and simonix bleeding wheel cleaner.
The autoglanze bleeding wheel cleaner showed very little signs of iron fallout and verylittle cleaning power.
The simoniz though it showed more bleeding and better cleaning power i didnt feel as though it was as good as the pulse i tried earlier. And after hitting the wheel after with magma i could clearly see the autoglanz and simoniz had not really done a great job of removing the iron.

Overall, i do feel like i would still have a seperate fallout remover and wheel cleaner, as the fallout remover on its own clearly had more effect on the iron. The pulse did a reasonable job of both in comparison to the others in test if your looking for a all in one.
Also the test clearly shows the difference between a acid free cleaner and when a acid based cleaner is still needed.

Have to addd, there are many options or tyre dressing. Always a newer one to add to the list that makes us wonder if it is as good as they market it.
My small selection is Koch Chemie, Gtech plus a 17yr old Megs Hot Shine I dislike because it's for anyone that likes a shiny finish. Might not even be made anymore. Bit tacky for me personally. The KC and Gtech is subtle which I prefer.
However, if the taste is for Shiny is the preference, megs lasts for ages. It last so much longer so it does dull down after a few months if you can tolerate shiny for a while, so the new fancy named products may not be the best choice.
Meg's and the likes of Autoglym may not be glamorous, eye catching bottles etc. but they are still around and wonder why that is?
