SiRamik Lustrous Plus Graphene Spray

Initially I thought so, but over 18 months of use the difference is negligible. In fact I've found it really benefits from a monthly wash with Descale or similar to revive the full performance.

Every hydrophobic product will suffer from the same issues though.. not every product bounces back in the way that Lustrous does.

I'm still waiting to apply Lustrous later this year after decon and a light polish, (currently on EVO can coat, April 2022)...Q: would Koch FSE help say once every 2 months on Lustrous......as have very hard water in Essex,.....not made up my mind fully on FSE.....thanksssss

@roscopervis might remember that Andreas blocked me on Facebook for poking holes in this very video.. which was a shame as I tend to respect when someone can provide robust challenge. After all, nobody is perfect, we're all learning.

The reason id caveat the first video is that when used repeatedly, FSe will build up a film which masks products.. Applied once, twice even three times the film is mild enough, but where you get into stupid territory, it'll eventually take over the characteristics of the coating. By right he should have washed the panel and blown it dry after each application to simulate actual use.. FSe is not very robust, and can be removed by a single wash. He later said he panel wiped it down, but there is no evidence of this in the video.

My conclusion having used multiple bottles of both FSe and Lustrous is a positive one. Lustrous is one of the most chemical resistant products at both ends of the pH scale.. I maintain multiple cars over a long term basis.. Repeat first hand experience > YouTube theory.

Big thanks for the info....deffo sold on Lustrous now.....

lots of discussion on here about application etc, has anyone got any MF cloth suggestions, maybe from HDD so can be bought together
I did a test ! on my wife's car last Friday just the front wing with a microfibre applicator with Plastic Barrier !!, yer it seemed okay pretty easy really, wipe off really good with low nap micro, but did use a panel prep before hand, I'm just itching to use, as I'm on can coat on my car spring last year, but had to wait for the perfect day to apply (CC), I have no garage, and had a very heavy dew that night so not quite sure what affect it had...pinning my hopes on lustrous this year..all the best

The nozzle from the first of my bottles blocked eventually but deploying @sharrkey technique above, the second and third ones have been fine.

I'm sure Russ won't mind me sharing but if left the product will harden to a "semi solid resin that will powder up if crushed".

Towels crisp up but do not harden to the same extent as Cancoat, CQ Lite or Moonlight. Cloths can easily be relegated to wiping tyres, engine bays, cleaning exhaust etc.

The Edgeless 300 towels are great for removal, though I have noticed they aren't as soft as they once were... @Clean and Shiny might advise of anything has changed or if I'm imagining things[emoji23]

As a general rule pearl weave towels tend to be the very best for coating removal but also tend to be more expensive than Chinese terry cloths.

Brilliant reply as always sir.....many thanks...:))

So I got the same nozzle and spray head from Russ and initially tried with a Gyeon coating applicator(large dual suede & mf) and found it loaded with Too much product, so reverted to rag company yellow 365 mf, 15 sprays to load & tried 1 spray on panel and that worked a treat [emoji1305] had no need to use a spray of water afterwards

Beading looks pretty decent there, I apply one layer like a coating and find it has really good contact angles.. c.110 degrees. 120 is pretty much the highest you'll find in any paint coating available. View attachment 86061

Hi atbalfour.... what's the roughly the time for curing on Lust after application...(hope makes sense)....as can coat evo is 12 hours..MTIA

Just looked at your pictures & can see an applicator. I tried this last year, but switched to using two microfibre towels only.

1st towel sprayed with 5-6 sprays of product to prime & a further 1-2 sprays again into the towel as required when applying. 2nd towel used to buff & done 👍
Correct...I tried it 1st on bonnet, then switched to towels, cool I try the prime method today...thanks bud.....must crack on dog needs a walk, then back to it....have a good 1....cheers

Overall the entire bottle has done maybe 8 layers worth of car plus wheels as I had used previously, I could quite easily of squeezed more out of it and was not being careful with usage, so thats not to say this is an expensive product per application, or you need to use a lot because you don’t. It all depends on how you want to use it. I personally find it spreads and works in better with a bit more product, but that can vary based on everyone own environments etc
Stupid question bud...what area (as in size) you working????....I tried 18"x 18) yesterday....if you could let us know asap as will be wiping down and applying tomorrow....massive thanks in advance
